I'm sure this has been discussed before, but....
Last night I was discussing birth order with my friends and I pointed out that Meg isn't your typical "first"-she's more spirited and less cautious than many firsts I know.
But then we got to thinking that technically, she's a second--but she's being parented as a first/only.
Any thoughts on this???
My daughter is the 4th child of her bmom's and has two older biological brothers and an older biological sister. She is my second baby and a MAJOR princess! She is being raised with her big brother Justin, who she absolutely adores.
It's kinda interesting if you think about it. But I guess like anything else, she is being brought up in a COMPLETELY different enviornment. So nothing is Atypical. KWIM?

Interesting thought. My Dh was raised as an only, but is actually the youngest of 6.
We have 5 kids; 1 bio, 4 adopted.
The oldest is our bio, who is the first child in the family.
Our 2nd is the 4th of 4 bio family kids.
Our 3rd is the 2nd of 2 bio family kids.
Our 4th is the 4th of 5 bio famil kids.
Our 5th is the 5th of 6 bio family kids.
Interesting pattern. I'll have to look to see what kinds of traits they do have; first born? youngest? middles? Hmmm. LOL
