They had a Cabbage Patch doll in the toy outlet too, but personally I've always thought they're a bit freaky looking. They also had some of those baby Bratz dolls, but honestly they're just bizarre, and the outfits they have on them look hideous or are too hooker-ish for my taste. Guess I'm more old fashioned than I realized. Lord, I'm my mother............................. Sandy PS - Joskids, I tried to PM you a list of online stores that sell AA toys, products, holiday stuff, etc. but your PM box is full.

That is a good site. The likeness site is more than likely My Twinn My Twinn: Personalized Gifts Including Twin Collectible Dolls I was wondering how well the results are for Black kids. Let me know how the doll looks.
I'm thinking about doing the My Twinn for my DD. They recommend that your child be between 3 and 12 for the best results. They have a couple of AA examples on the website and they are pretty good. I've been meaning to call them to ask a few questions. I thought this would be a great Christmas gift.
You can also do a toddler doll but there are not many choices on the facial shape with those. You have to pay an extra fee to get them to match the features to the facial molds.

If I get one I'll let you know. I need to find a decent picture of DD first. The hairstyle thing is stressing me out. DD's hair texture looks different depending on whether it's braided or loose.
We really like the UzuriKid Kidz products.

Thanks for the info on My Twinn. I didn't realize they had a recommended age range. My DD is way too young at this point. I really want to buy her a special doll... I take dolls so seriously. I still have my two dolls from when I was 5 years old! I'm convinced they are worth a mint, but it doesn't matter because my girls are NOT FOR SALE... EVAH!
You can also get a My Twinn toddler or baby but they will not do the personalization like they do for the regular My Twinn Dolls. For the toddler you still get to choose skin color, eye color but the face shape is left up to you unless you pay a $10 fee for them to determine the facial shape. The My Twinn toddlers are pretty cute.
