Hi All,
Since we moved to Philly two years ago, we've noticed there isn't a lot in terms of parent groups for adoptive families. So, we're starting one:

Please consider joining - we'll be scheduling some family events soon. :)
Thanks.

I don't know what LID stand for (im not good with all the lingo). But I am so happy for you... Where are you getting your baby from? We adopted in July, it was domestic so I was in the Delivery room. My little guy is 8 months old today and he is the best!!! We went through a lot to get him but are so happy and it all turned out great! I also don't know any other adoptive families except those we met at our agencies picinic last september. It will be nice to talk to some one else going through the process. Our adoption was finalized in February. We did not use cloth diapers, but we love the beach going to the local parks. Please keep me posted on your progress.... Hi,
LID means Log In Date. we are adopting from China so thats probably why the lingo is different or somethings you havent heard about. Thats so nice, my sister works in domestic adoptions as a social worker in Texas, i am glad that you were able to be in the delivery room with him. we met a nice family from out in West Chester at our adoption travel meeting, they will be travelling with us and hopefully we can forge relations with them and others on the flight over. Where was your picnic and who sponsored it? We have a big Chinese New Year get together but i dont know of any other things. We should hear any week now when we will be travellign and who our child will be.
we will use cloth diaper system, though will use disposable diapers on the trip to and around china. Our daughter should be around 9 to 13 months, when we get her.
