Hi, DH and I are sending in our application to the agency :prop: They asked us to take pictures (us, inside and outside of home). I was wondering why this is. I know I should ask the agency and I will, just wondering what you all knew.

We had to send pictures as a part of our dossier to Vietnam and to our homestudy agency. My guess is they are asking for them to see the environment in which you live and also, the pictures you send to them show what you value. For example, before our son we sent pictures of us with our furbabies, the two of us traveling, and pictures of us with our extended family. This time we sent pictures of us doing fun things with our son in our home and in front of it (i.e. dh and son playing in the leaves). The pictures are one way they get to know us, kinda like telling a story. :)

I think that its simply a pictorial foundation for home study approvals and a reference. You want to know who you are dealing with. Is the child being sent to a good home? THis is sort of the physical or outward appearance part of the dossier that tells them who you are.
