Single PAP Support Groups??

There is a group out there called Single Mothers by Choice and it cost 30-40 dollars a year to join. You can call and ask where the closest chapter is.

I am a single mom and would love to find a group.

I was single when I started the process for DD but along the way I met my partner so technically, I'm not a single mom anymore.

I never found a group myself, but there is a group in northern new jersey that is mostly moms a kids from Guatemala, I think. I think most of the kids are older now too. I will try to find out how they can be contacted. I found a group of moms adopting when I did in NJ on this site and we are the best of friends now. Two were single, now it is only me being single, but it works for us. We schedule moms nites out, and activities for kids at our homes or in public locations - it is worth making the effort. We were all adopting from Russia. I was the first home with my daughter. I have shared in all of the homecomings - it has been a lot of fun.

Sometimes you can find yahoo groups that fit your needs. I know of Single with Two and Singles adopting from Ethiopia. Through those I have found singles in my area but I have not found a local support group.Samantha
