Hi there,
I am new to this site, as of today, and I was just wondering if anyone could offer us advice on a private adoption in Ontario?
I know in the states there are a million PRIVATE AGENCIES that specialize in connecting birth mothers to prospective parents...but I cannot seem to find anything like that in Canada.
I was also wondering if anyone on here has had any luck with Private Adoption?
Oh and one last question: Can you do a private home study and send it into the CAS? As we don;t want to put all our eggs into one basket.
International does not seem to be for us, as we are not willing to wait 5 years for a child (China) and we cannot afford Russia or Kazakstan etc... We are fairly certain that Private is the route for us.
Any advice??
Thanks,

The Ministry of Community and Social Services posts a list of licensed adoption agencies/home study professionals. Check out their website at Government of Ontario, Canada / Gouvernement de l'Ontario, Canada

Hope this helps..

Jewels For Jesus Adoption Agency in Mississauga.
I believe they do 11 percent of Canadas adoptions a year.
I was an adoptee as a baby there and they treated my adoptive parents great and got them me very quickly and professionally.
I was also a birth mother and gave a baby up thru them in my teen years and they were an amazing support.
Way better than CAS.
They support open adoption.
Their number is 1-905-821-7494 if youd like more info about them.
I believe their average adoption cost is 10 thousand, which is cheap for a private adoption. All depending on your case of course.
Good luck!
