Hi- I'd love to hear your story! We are adopting a baby boy who is hispanic, we are caucasion. I would like to be educated, to be the best parent I can be.
I have been to a lot of classes, so I have the professional view, now I'd like the real life view. Thanks
I am not a birth mom, but also an adoptive parent of 8 hispanic children. There are lots of ways to incorporate heritage. Find a group that your child can be around and get to know other people that are hispanic, church, play group ect. You can also try make traditional foods to his race.

I am an adoptee that is a mixed baby. I am half black and half hispanic and my parents are white. It was not hard being around my family it was only society that made it dificult. The quesetions and stares that we got. (We live in Tyler, TX making it that much more dificult). The only thing that made feel better is my family.
You are off to a good start. There is much to be learned here on this site and it is alot of support. I too have adopted a hispanic baby. I know some spanish and this I will one day teach her. (A word here and a word there.) I will teach her of her heritage once she is older. I hope this helps??
