So I'm not Alexander who is having the horrible, no good, rotten day, but, my morning has been awful!I checked on ds who has been sick and he was fever free, and had been since yesterday morning. He said he felt great so I get him to start getting him ready for school. My phone rings and it shows my fil's number but no one says anything. I said, "Is anyone here?" He clears his throat, "yeah, I am, just give me a second." So I tell him I'm handing the phone to dh. He was calling to let us know dh's grandfather died. Then, my little 3 year old, who is not running a fever, was needing extra tlc this morning and I'm holding him and my phone rings again. It's dh, he says, "JD doesn't feel so good now, I'm taking him to the nurse to see if he has a fever." He called back a little while later, he has a fever again and is on his way home.Is the day over yet???????

Thanks Barks. It was my Grandfather-in-law, and I didn't know him real well. The hard part for me is seeing dh hurt and his family hurt too. My boys didn't know their great-grandpa as we're in TX and he's in FL.My ds is feeling better, but is not allowed at school tomorrow because he ran a fever part of today. He has to be fever free for 24 hours. He is driving me up the wall today. He's feeling well enough to pick on his brother, who is not feeling well! AHHHHH!!! They're about to go to bed, and then I'm gonna read, or watch tv, or just veg out! :DOh yeah, dh and sil made it to FL safe and sound, so that's good.

Oops, Ani! I'm sorry that I thought it was your FIL. I really should remember more carefully! (It would be difficult for your FIL to call and talk to you, wouldn't it, if he was the one who had died?!)
Hope you and Ds have a better time together today. I detest reading out loud, so after the first 5 books I'm usually toast. Sigh. I usually end up resorting to the one-eyed babysitter, and then pay for the next few days for that kind of inattention on my part. :propeller:
