While National Adoption Awareness month does focus on the foster care adoption aspect of things, there are opportunities to discuss and educate on all aspects of adoption. Its not just about finding families for children, but helping our fellow parents from all sides find the support they need. ItҒs about supporting those adopted through their challenges and learning from their experiences. From Guatemala to Russia to China to a sleepy little town in Idahowe all have experiences to share. From infant to older child, transracial to special needs, all of our differences of the process still bring us all together. From our past to our present, adoption has changed so much and yet there are areas where it hasnŒt. We hear from our mothers in exile who found their voices and take the time to share a different side. From closed to semi, to fully open, each side has a voice. To support a persons right to have their basic medical information, to know the aspects of their past and the adopteeҒs bill of rights, its not a ғthem but all our children. So todayԅtake some time to read the different forums we at Adoption.Com provide. Take a moment to step outside the world you live in to hear another side. Theres joy, pain, support, laughter and struggles on all sides. There are voices everywhere...what do you hear?

Thanks Bajj! What are some other forums you all like to go to..... Do you go for certain reasons such as learn, discuss, educate, cry, laugh or support. I would love to hear your favorite.
I love to "hear the voices" of the First Mothers. Some of the threads are hard to read, but I gain so much from their views, their pain, their joys.
Because we are adopting from Guatemala, I'm fequently on the Guat forum. I also look at other International forums from time to time to see what is happening with adoption from other countries. Although there are certainly differences in programs, there are many similarities in what we are all going through as PAPs/APs.
