So yesterday when we were picking up big J from school, the people walking behind us said a bad word. So, JM starts repeating it OVER AND OVER again. I keep saying "we don't use that word." He kept saying, "but SHE did." It was awful! The lady was RIGHT BEHIND ME about to walk across in the cross walk. He keeps right on saying and finally when we get away from her I explain that some people use words we don't. Not sure how well it worked, but he hasn't said it again yet!Any incidents like that with your boys (or girls)?

We have bad words and words that aren't nice words.
He's repeated them and I told him that it isn't nice. NOt everyone is nice and sometimes people are bad. We are not.
And if he pushes the issue, as he sometimes does, I let him know that he will be punished and he could pick the punishment - a spank on his mouth, or soap in his mouth. He usually chooses to close his mouth and not say bad words.
Oh, and he WILL let someone know if they say a bad word or a not nice word - stranger or not.

Everyday I pick up my 7 year old from school. I focus the conversation on him and how his day was and what did he learn today and so on. My 3 year old will repeat everything big brother says word for word. Its like an echo in the car....lol I understand why he does it because he missed big brother while he was at school. It is cute but eventually you have tell little M to stop the echo.
