Our pastors left our church after 20 years of service. I am now in charge of our Mother's group, which means I come up with the topic and devotion each month.
I am struggling to come up with something meaningful for December. Of course there is Christmas, but what specifically? Most of the moms have kids 2 or under, so whatever I choose has to be applicable to all ages.
Any wonderful words of wisdom, great websites, books, or other resources?
Seems to be a study on Jesus' mother Mary might be a good Christmas study. Her pregnancy, the birth, her attitude, the few glimpses of her as a mother... what does she have to teach us as we mother our own children.

That sounds like a good idea. You could also look for a good book to go over, either a parenting book, or something along those lines. Good luck!
The story of Moses is also a very good one. His Mother showed how much she loved him by giving him up to save his life.
Thanks everyone. I think I found a devotion I like. Welcome to A Woman's Place - Christmas Devotional for Women It is about the reality of what the travel, the stable and the birth would have been like.
I saw the movie "The Nativity Story" last year, and my husband gave me the book that has pictures from the filiming of the movie in it. It shows a cave that the stable and manger actually would have looked like.
Let me know what you think.
