Non religious adoption

We adopted independently...did not use an agency. And we adopted much faster than I expected. Neither my husband or I are religious. In our profile we indicated that I was raised Jewish and DH, Episcopalian, but that neither of us were actively practicing. For the pbmothers that we spoke with, religious beliefs were among common questions asked. Until we matched, we had also been speaking with another pbmom, both were interested in us because we were NOT religious...So...not every PBmom is looking for an actively practicing christian family.
