The process for baptism for a 6 yr old was so different from my 2 bio BABY baptists. SO happy it is done. Very nice and I hope it educated a few in my parish about older children adoptions.

yes - there is a part the priest says something about the birth and he stated came into your family. In addition, I am a foster Mom so I always have children that just show up (without me ever being pregnant).
I hope that it encourages other people to think about fostering/adoption.

Last February we had both our older adopted childreen baptised (we are Lutheran, so also normally baptize as infants). Our church does a power point, and on the power point they showed a picture of each child with his/her birthdate and adoption date listed.
