I'm half-Japanese, adopted in Japan in 1960. We were some of the first international, trans-racial adoptees brought to the US. I only know one other like me, but there were many others. I'm thinking of researching a book on the topic, and I'm interested in hearing from you if you're willing to share your story.

My 3 older brothers and I were adopted in Japan by missionaries. We are all half Japanese. I see this post is fairly old, however I would be happy to give you our stories.
