We got home from Rwanda in October of 07 with our son.
Adoptions over there are happening, but the travel time is very long. Our trip was 21 days, but 2 families that have adopted since were gone 6 weeks. There are lots of new rules (even since October!) and you have to go to Kenya to get your visas to come home. It is so important that you have a personal contact on the ground in Kigali that can help you. I have heard that there were a few agencies that are trying to get a foot in the door, but the minister of family and gender has told us that they do not want to deal with agencies.
If there are people that are willing to make 2 trips and can be gone the 5-6 weeks then I am happy to help you and pass on information.

MissyOK,
Congratulations! I spend every summer in Rwanda, but have been told it's virtually impossible to adopt. I would love to get some information from you!
