Hi Everyone....
It looks like we might be placed with a 6 month old and a 2 year old.....what should I know about these ages??? We have no kids right now.
Thanks!!
P.S. I'm also posting this on the toddler board.
Most children have started solids by or at six months. Finding out what the child has already had so you can keep track of adding new foods and possible allergic reactions would be key.

6 months is an AWESOME age. Our DD just turned 6 months on Thursday. I certainly echo Jenna's thoughts. Also, be ready to baby proof your house cause they're getting ready to move (although you'd be doing that anyway with a toddler).
*trying to think of other specifics*
Jenna has a great point. Make sure that you find out what stage each child is at so you can continue that. I will assume they are both in diapers so you might want to make sure you have that and bottles for the little one. The 2 year old might be running you around in circles so get your rest now. I would recommend trying to start a schedule immediately for their sake and yours. Give lots of love to them and good luck.
To add to the bottle recommendation: Find out which bottles baby likes because it makes a BIG difference. You'll also need to know which formula he or she is on.
Solids: It may be tempting to stock up on tons of little jars of baby food but don't do it until baby's had a sample. Because of they don't like it you could stand on your head and try to feed them- it won't matter. And you'll be stuck with a bunch of beef and vegetables you'll never use.
Oh, and don't get a lot of baby wipes until you find out whether the baby has sensitive skin or not. This is probably a good tip for the toddler too.
