So I've really been working on helping little guy understand about his big bro J's other bro and sis that are in his life now. Little guy is 6 and until now it's just not computing.
Today he asked "where's your mommy?"
So I said "San Diego."
I asked him "where's your mommy?"
He said "Right here!"
I asked him "where's J's mommy?"
He said "I don't know."
I said "Right here. I'm J's mommy too!"
"But how does he have a sister? Was J born to you?"
"No. I adopted him and raised him."
"Oh. So she was his first mom and you're his second mom."
Yeah. So he gets it now. I just thought it was interesting that that's how it finally made sense to him in his own words. First mom. Second mom.
Heidi, I think this is super interesting...
And as always I think it's awesome amazing that you're so dedicated to this whole process, supporting big J, helping little J understand, the whole thing!
