Tonight I was helping my oldest put together his valentines for his classmates. He was very concerned that each valentine match each student in his class. I thought that was so sweet of him to be that concerned. Each valentine had special attention and pictures that he drew his self.
As I was putting together the little gift bags to attatch to his valentines our discussion went on to the girls in his class. With further discussion he started to say how pretty she is, or what pretty hair she has or she wears such pretty ribbons in her hair.....I am not ready for this....lol
Any one else starting to experience this with their boys?
I want to wish you all a very Happy Valentines Day!!!!
I'm curious as to how old he is or was when he comented on how pretty his girl classmates are. I only have girls so I don't have much insight into raising boys but do wonder at what age they may see my girls as something more than just another playmate.

My youngest son (4) is completely introverted in school, but LOVES a beautiful little girl named Abby. That's all I hear about is Abby this and Abby that.
Abby's mom told me that at the Valentines party, Joey walked up to Abby and kept trying to gently pat her shoulder, then they started to dance (basically hold hands in spin in a circle - lol)! I wish I would have been there!
Now my 6 year old has a major crush on a girl in his class, but it's more like, "Mom, Maddy said she's getting an ipod for Christmas, and that I need one too)...
One likes a sweet girl and one likes a bossy girl - go figure - lol...
