Our agency called today, and the adoption center in Poland is dropping our stuff off at the court or judge next week. She told me that they hope to hear right after easter when our court date will be and we can start making travel plans.
I'm so trying not to get my hopes up. Didn't you all say it's totally up to the judge? Is this just wishful thinking on the part of our agency and coordinator? It seems almost impossible (compared to your stories) that we would hear something so soon.
I know no one can really answer me because no one really knows. I almost wish our agency hadn't told us that because now this is all I will think of until easter.
Anyway, just wanted to share the "latest". :)
You are correct in that they can tell you whatever they want but they don't really know. We received weekly "We hope to know next week . . ." calls for months before learning our date.
But - for every "We hope" call, you are one step closer to the real deal. Don't lose heart!

We were very lucky with our court dates. We accepted our son's referral on a Friday, and the next Wednesday our agency gave us travel dates with a "your court will be sometime this week" depending on the judge's decision about boding times etc... Good Luck! I would hope for good news while remembering that it always takes longer than expected.
