my husband is wanting to adopt my daughter. her bf is deceased but we dont know where to start. the problem is i cant afford a lawyer and he has a criminal history. does anyone have any advice. :us-indiana:

I have a friend who is a family attorney and can probably help you. It won't be cheap. I can give you two suggestions - one we used and one who is a friend. My husband had a past, too. It all depends on what the past entails.
