Hi there, My name is Jenny and I adopted my beautiful daughter, Anna Grace, in September 2007. I went through the whole process of inducing lactation, pumping many times a day, etc. while we were getting ready for the arrival of our baby and then ended up adopting a toddler rather than a newborn. Long story short, I bought the Lact-Aid Deluxe nursing trainer system with a lot of extra supplies (including 600 extra milk storage bags, refridgerator rack, and 4 extra nursing trainer units) and ended up not using any of it, since Anna was too old to actually nurse. I did pump milk for her and give it to her in a sippy cup, but the Lact-Aid system, which I spent over $200 on (ouch!) just sat on the shelf. So, I listed it a few days ago on ebay. If any of you are looking for Lact-Aid stuff, feel free to check out the listing. You can find it by searching for "Lact-Aid 12" on ebay. My seller name is "Welcometothefamily!" I've got an opening bid of just $99 and no bidders yet, so you could potentially save about $100. Also, I've got 5 bottles of Fenugreek (not expired) and a book called Breastfeeding the Adopted Baby. If you win the auction, send me an email at jenny_freddie@hotmail.com (mentioning this discussion board) and I will throw those in for free. :thanks:Jenny P.S. If you ever want to talk about the adoptive breastfeeding experience, I'm happy to answer any questions. Although Anna didn't actually nurse, I'm very familiar with the preparation process and all the emotions/hopes/anxieties involved. :-)
