Hi, I am looking for my birth mother. I feel such a deep yearning in my soul to reconnect. I love her very much and I am thankful she carried me full term. She is a hero in my eyes.
I pray she shares the same interests in wanting to reconnect.. but if not, i understand. I still want to know where I came from and who my relatives are. :o)
I was born 10/8/79 in Raleigh NC... apparently I was a "late baby" LOL. I was due at the end of september..but induced on october 8th.
Adopted through Catholic Agency...
Birth Family Last Name is Carroll
I know my birth mothers first name but am hesistant to put it down because I dont want to mess anything up for her. I respect her wishes for privacy.. but I hope she or someone on in my family would like to reconnect.
Thanks Kathleen :thanks: :grouphug:
Kathleen, if you really want to find your bmom I suggest you search actively. There is a very little chance your
bmom will see this withall the other messages boards, and the liklihood that an older woman is adept at using a computer.
First, get your Non Identifying Information from the placement agency and next register with the ISRR.
You need to fill in more identifiable information for her
to recognize you..such as the agency, place you "think: you were born or the county, your birthmom's age. There are literally hundreds out there looking too.
You too can read the multitude of adoption sites and
see she is looking for you.
But YOU have to get active and find out the many ways of searching.
If you need help please write me privately and I will
do what I can to help you.

Hi Thanks for the reply but I must say i am actively searching as I possibly can despite the limitations. I have considerable amount of info on her and have exhausted myself looking on search forums. She has not been looking for me. So my only hope is that maybe she is thinking the same thing I am.
But if anyone has any info ... especially for a Carroll family who lives in NC.. and my birthmother had an brother or uncle die of cleft palate at 10 months old and one of her sister died in a car accident... the other sister was active in the military.
Please, this is just so draining. I wish i could make contact.. whether its reciprocal or not... a definite yes or no is preffered to this maybe.
Oh well.. but life goes on. and so do we :o)
Thanks for the help and if anyone continues to find anything please email me. thank you so much.
Kathleen
well if you do have more information I suggest you put it in your posting. There are at the very least 200-300 Carroll families (go to Peoplefinders.com and see). You did not list your bmoms age, the agency that placed or anything other than family siblings which neighbors or friends might not know, let alone a volunteer search angel could use to help you. I offer this a advice not
critisism, that is if you are REALLY searching ...

Um thanks for the helpful tip.. but was that last comment really necessary
I was born a Carroll in 1972, in Florida. My birth mother's name was Julie S. Carroll and my birth father's name is Eugene H. Carroll. I have 2 older sisters named Stella and Connie. The more information you post, the closer you will get to finding someone. If you "keep their privacy" the brick wall you're looking at is the one you've built by not being more helpful to yourself. I've been searching since I was 16- I'm 40 now; experience has taught me that I can't afford to worry about someone else's privacy if I really want to get where I'm going.
At any rate- keep in mind that there are literally thousands of men and women who were born with the same or similar lasts names, and the frustration of contacting the wrong people can be overwhelming. So, do yourself, and the other's who are looking, a favor and post everything you know. You'll be glad you did. :)

Kathleen,
I was born back in 1969 and adopted at 6 months! My birthmoms last name is Carroll and she does have other children she placed for adoption through Catholic Social Services.
PM me if you want to share first names etc. She comes from a very large family (10 siblings) I met her back in 1993! She was very open to meeting me and my adoptive family!
Good luck with your search!
