Bonnie56 - have you had any help with your search? Do you have non ID info from the agency? Have you registered with IARMIE? the ISRR? There is a document called a Gold Seal Certificate for adoptions in Cook county before 1963, I believe. It will list court document numbers and then that can be looked up in the legal newspapers which should list you mother's name as the time of surrender. If you would like help, let me know. I am a search angel in IL, and am reunited with my sons. I'd love to try to help you.

Are you searching for a half sister who was adopted at birth in IL? If so, I may be able to help you get her amended name. I am a search angel in IL and would be happy to try to help you.
Hi,
I have had no luck searching. I don't even know her birth name. I only know she was born and given away. I spent my childhood in foster homes and worse. I would appreciate any help at all. I would love to find my sister because I have no other siblings.

Please..........can you help me find her? I have no other family left that I know of................thanks, Cherrie
Hi Cherrie - do you know her DOB? Are you registered as a sibling with IARMIE? Send me an email at iamsister7@aol.com with all known information and I will see what can be done. It will be hard to find her without a DOB, but we'll see what we can do for you. HUGS!

I registered with Catholic Charities and here, but no one else. I've been told over the years that if I don't have a last name to go by, or record of birth, then there is no way I can find out anything. The only people that have contacted me are people that want me to pay them for searching. I did get a note along with my drivers license renewal letter that in 2011 I will be able to get records...haven't checked into that. I just don't know what to do or where to even start. Thank you for replying!
