He's on my list of members who make you say, "hmmmmm..." Nothing really against the rules. He hasn't even linked to his site at this point.

I don't think it IS his site. Anyone know if he is considered spoofing though? Being that he has the same name as that site? I'm sure the proof of spoofing more detailed than that. But, I'm fairly certain that he is not even interested in China adoptions (at least with this particular screen name). On his profile, where it asks, "reason for joining community?" He states, "fun" That about sums it up....although mockery is a better description.My speculation is that he's someone else who has another screen name, or he would not have created that name. Someone recently spoke in the China forum (around 3 weeks ago) about chinaadoptforecast.com, and all the sudden his screen name was created....It's not accurate to what's demonstrated on that site, and he would not know that so many parents are waiting for so long for referrals without being in this (or some other) forum already.

He isn't someone else who is a member here, that I can assure you. It is not uncommon for site owners to come here and offer support, we have a great many of them actually. Also, the use of the screen name 'chinaadoptionforecaster' is totally allowed, if its available. The only way we'd keep someone from using it, is if there were trademark issues and attorney's involved. We have a number of people here who have usernames that mirror actual websites. If he's giving bad/wrong info - we can certainly deal with that...but at this point, anything said re: China is just opinion...ya know? Kinda hard to ask someone not to share their opinion - but we can certainly ask that She/He preface their posts by stating it is only opinion....

I just figured it was him cuz he was interviewed in that article in the Canadian press and is trying to wake up prospective adoptive parents to the reality of the wait. But if the preditions don't match that site, it's probably someone else. It's hard to figure his motivations. Maybe he thinks he the magic eight ball!

I saw his posts as commercials.;) There's a discussion and then there is is his post saying "I estimate your arrival" and you almost expect to see "This info bought to you by ChinaForecasters.com" LOL!

Crick and Karen-It's funny that you say that. I doubt it's the chinaforecast guy because if you look at that site, the forecasted dates are almost depressing. This guy's posts (on the other hand) remind me of Johnny Carson's Carnac the Magnificant! I imagine him with a feathered turbon on his head, and holding a white index card to his forehead.
