So, aside from surfing the forums, what are your hobbies?

Tara,
I LOVE tea! What is your favourite? I don't have many options here, small town and all, so I mostly drink Celestial Seasonings and Bigelow. I LOVE the Zinger teas that Celestial makes and Cinnamon Stick by Bigelow, we used to drink that at my gramma's!

Oh, my goodness...I feel so ancient when I read how young you all were in the 1984 Olympics. BTW, I've got a great photograph of my grandmother and the torch, too, TGM!
Seriously, I was in training for the 1972 Olympics in Munich, Germany, in track and field, more specifically the high-jump and the 660-meter. But my life took a drastic turn when I became pregnant at 16. I delivered my son in March 1972, and my mom went to Germany and Austria several weeks later. She brought back all this Olympic memorabilia for me, and it just about broke my heart. I had the best coach in the world, Mickey Tyler (Audrey Patterson-Tyler), who was the first African-American woman to win an Olympic medal. She coached a team she formed in San Diego in the 1960's, called Mickey's Missles. I think I broke her heart when I told her I was pregnant....
My other hobbies in life: guitar, music composition, miniature building, and I'm an avid hobbyist genealogist. Besides researching my own family tree, I often provide free genealogical services for adoptees....
Hey! If this counts, then so does my lipgloss collection...ok - it's not so much of a collection as it is an addiction.

I was reading this thread and had to laugh at your lipgloss collection! YES IT COUNTS!!! I, too, am an addict of chapstick, lipgloss, lipstick....I have about 250 tubes!!!!!
ROFL!!! Are you sure we aren't related?!!?! I also have this "thing" that I can't see anyone else put on lipgloss, chapstick, ect on and not have some to put on myself!!! I have one friend, who is the same, and we have this "joke" of making sure the other one see's the other one...especially in church!! It was torture when I went to TN two weeks ago and I didn't have ANY chapstick!!! Don't worry, I bought some there!!! Yes, a support group may be just what I need!!! Ps...the minty ones from Bath and Body are GOOD!!!
