 I signed up on this site in 2004 and hadn't heard a thing from anyone. I was looking for my siblings on my birthfather and birthmother's side. Apparently, my siblings on my bf side had been looking for me but I didn't update my phone number or email address so they could contact me. So PLEASE if you want to be found keep your info updated.
Now for my story...
:( I gave up hope after 4 years because I never heard that anyone was looking for me. I figured they either didn't know about me or didn't care about me.
:drive: About a month ago (June 2008), there was a knock at my door! It's my brother Joe and sister Brenda! They'd been looking for me for years. However, they weren't really sure if they'd find me or my grave. Our bf told them I died at birth  but my oldest sister Bea never believed it  since Harry never cried when he returned with no baby! She decided one day she'd google her name and up popped adoption.com! :thanks:
:hissy: Needless to say when I opened the door I was in disbelief. I cried and they cried and hugged me. We spent the next 8 hours talking and had a cookout. We've been connected ever since.:phone:
It's nice to know someone did care enough to look:love: for the baby who never came home but it angers me that Harry told them I died. We could have been reunited a lot earlier. :airplane:
After all these years of searching 2 of my siblings are just a 30 minute drive away and the other is in TN.:cheer:
I am so glad I was found, :grouphug: I feel more complete. Now I want to find my siblings on my birthmother side, Bonnie Maul.
Never, ever give up! You may get a knock at your door and it be your birth family!:eyebrows:
Congratulations on your reunion.
I second the reminder to keep your info up to date. I found my birthson D within 5 minutes of registering. Unfortunately D hadn't updated his info so it took longer to locate him. (Luckily not too long.)

Congratulations on your new-found family!!! That was better than Ed McMahon showing up at your door!!!!!
Wow, Just helps confirm my belief that eveything happens for a reason. Stories like this are like "Chicken Soup for Adoptee" stories LOL!
congrats!!! :)
I'd buy Chicken Soup for the Adoptee!!! There would be ALOT of lives touched by all the stories that I have followed here in the last 7 years! Hmmm maybe you should contact the publishing company...?? sal
There is an Adoption Chicken Soup book!! I looked at it at Barnes and Noble one night.:coffee:
