Networking

I hear a lot about people writing letters to churches or going through their pastor to find expectant mothers looking to place their babies for adoption. I don't feel comfortable doing that and I was wondering if anyone networked through their synagogue or had any other ideas. Thanks.

I did not network in the way you described but I think the more exposure you get the better. We met our son's birth mother on Parent Profiles and as you know Whirled Peas met her daughter's through OB/GYN letters.
