Hello everybody. We are very new to the process of adoption and have been recommened by another person to use the Kinship Center. We went to their orientation and it seems very informative and like a great place to adopt. I wanted to see if anyone has had any experiences or heard anything about them? Please PM me with any information you can provide. Thanks!
Hi there! My husband and I are just beginning the adoption process and planning to go through LA County's foster-adopt program. Friends of friends also did this three years ago and said that Kinship Center was able to help them navigate the process smoothly. We plan to attend an informational meeting out in their Santa Ana office next month. In the meantime was hoping to hear experiences from anyone who has used them. Can you please PM me with information.
In addition, would be very interested in anyone's start to finish process if you've dealt with LA County on the foster-adopt program.
Thank you so much!

Hi. Please PM me if you have any info. I am considering this agency for fost/adopt. Thanks!
We are on adoption #2 (finalization is next week) and the first time around we went through Kinship. We received support above and beyond what we were expecting from this agency. They were with us every step of the way from meeting our children through providing counseling for them pre and post adoption. In fact they are providing behavior coaching for one of our children in adoption #2. We began with Kinship in early 2003, and 9 years later they are still in the picture.
I would highly recommend their services and believe that our case may not have turned out the way it did had we not had their support. County social workers have such heavy caseloads that they cannot always be a resource for you. Going through an agency gives you a social worker and Kinship has seemingly infinite resources!
