Searching for my birth mother. My name is Dan, and I was born 03-27-1967 in seattle, WA. I know I have at least two half brothers, John and Mitch, although I know Mitch died in a accident in 1980. My mothers name is Maureen however she goes by her middle name Diane. She has been married several times so I don't know her current last name. Last known address was in Chandler AZ in 1968. Last known address for my brother John was Woodinville, WA probably around 1980 or so. Any information, help, or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

The only suggestions I can make is keep searching the internet. Theres 2 websites I've posted query's on looking for my sister. Genealogy.com and cousinconnect.com. Its free and if you make post's it'll make it so when your mom or brothers search their own name or your name they might come upon your query. I have yet to find my sister but I still try and hope and maybe someday I will find her or she will stummble onto my posts. The other suggestion is you said one of your brothers is deceased? You might be able to find his obituary which may have your moms name and your other brothers name listed on it as relatives. That is how my friend found her family through her bio fathers obit. She had barely any information to go on but it just so happend her name was listed on his obit. As a child of his and her brothers had posted a query with her name and when she did an internet search she found their post and the rest was history. I also live in washington and I know that criminal records or almost any types of court cases whether it be criminal, lawsuits, disolution of marriages, and custody cases are of public record. Im almost certain you can find a website for king county that you can look up those records for you mom or brothers. I hope those suggestions help please keep me updated if you can. Good luck~cynthia

Was your adoption finalized in King County? If so you should send for your non-indentifying information. Even though you know her name, it could have other clues about her that may help you.
Do you know her birthdate?
Washington has a digital achives that has tons of information. here is that link:

Also, ancestry.com has marriage, birth and death indexes from many, many states.
I'm also in WA and found my bmom (also named Maureen) with my non-id info that only listed her first name, birth year and other clues and then started searching on the internet. It can be done.

I've been doing some searching of my own to try to help you. I found some of your posts on adoption registry which had more info. about your mom. From the info. That you posted around your birth and adoption you put your moms age at both times she would've been born around 1939? Is that about right? Well I did a zaba search for a maureen cowell and there is an adress and phone number. So come to find out the number and adress are listed to a james cowell in peoria, arizona. The birth year for this maureen is 1939. So this could be her and her husband. Hopefully that helps the adress is 7951 charter oak rd. Peoria, arizona 85381 phone number is (623) 476-2099
