Referral!

Hi everyone, just wanted to announce that we accepted the referral of a toddler in Colombia!! We still cannot believe it! We were expecting a wait time of another year and a half, since we are in the special needs program, so were very surprised to get 'the call'. :woohoo: It's been many weeks of questions, doctor's help, decision-making, and we were finally officially matched last Thursday while we were out of town! We'll be travelling to Medellin late fall or winter, so if anyone has tips for places to stay or things to do, we'd love to hear. We're hoping to rent a place, since we have a 5-year old, 2-year old, and now an almost 2-year old, and it would be nice to have our own little space. another question: does anyone know of good resources for applying for special needs grants? I did some googling and calling, but there actually doesn't seem to be much available. Thanks everyone!
