WE finally received our 171H in the mail today! The state of IL has the longest process to get this in the US but we made it through! Yeah!!! There are so few steps to celebrate until the end that I thought I would share!!

the 171H is the approval for your I800A, right? Now what comes next? You file your I800, and how long does that usually take? I'm curious because we're right behind you :)

I filed before the April 1st deadline so I am on the I600 and will not have to convert to the I800. With the ruling this week by USCIS, the good news is that I will not have to ever convert to I800 as long as I stay current with these requirements.
So, next is to submit dossier to Colombia...
Yay! Great news!
I agree...IL has the craziest process for this. We just sent off all of our paperwork to extend our I-600A approval, and I felt like we had started over! :D
I hope you are able to get your dossier sent soon...what a huge step to get out of the way!
