There was a phone conference with my agency this week and they mentioned that wait times may change in 2009. It apparently has not been verified yet and they do not know if times are going to get shorter or longer. Has anyone heard anything about this?
We haven't, but we're not in process so we're not in the loop as much. I'd be interested to know what you hear, though, since we are trying to make decision for a third adoption in the year or two. It would be great if it were shorter!

What I understood with our agency, is that now casas privadas are being push by ICBF to put priority to Colombian adopting families, so that applying with either one of them should not make a difference. Hopefully the process doesn't get any longer.
Did your agency mention something about the reason why the time will change? Is there a new process?
My understanding from the teleconference is that wait times may be changing because ICBF is hiring 100 new workers in 2009 to help speed up the process.
Oh, hopefully it is that things will speed up a bit. :woohoo:
I missed listening to the live conference and got my information from the minutes.
