Hello to everyone! I am a new member to the boards. I have found the information online incredibly useful and really appreciate those who have shared so much of their experiences online.
We live in NY and are hoping to adopt a sibling group of 2 from Colombia. We are relatively early in the process. The homestudy was completed in October and we are awaiting our agency approval.
Its encouraging to see everyones stories online and learn more about the process. :thanks:

welcome! i'm your forum moderator. :cheer: . i have NOT adopted from Colombia...so i can't answer any country specific questions.....but i can answer questions about the forum rules or how things work or where to find stuff. so if you need anything along those lines, just pm me. :) good luck on your journey!

Hello friends. Thank you for welcoming us! I've been reading through many of the blogs online, as well. Its wonderful to hear about the people who've been there and know that I'm not the 'first'. Its reasurring to read about people who have been through the process and how they have dealt with family, friends, and their own emotions along the way. I'm very lucky to have a supportive family and I've taken your lead and setup a blog, as well. Its made such a difference not having to answer the same questions and also to be able to share my thoughts. Thank you.
