G'day from Australia! Try East Meets West - they are based in South Australia and are listed on the Inter-Country Adoptee Support Network's web site in the "resources" page. East Meets West - Post Adoption Support Services Try also the Post-Adoption Resource Centre in Sydney, NSW Post Adoption Resource Centre - PARC Home You might also try the State Records New South Wales http://www.records.nsw.gov.au/ or the State Records of South Australia Government of South Australia - Home Page - I had worked at a state archives once and they have many ways to help people search. You might also try the Australian Electoral Commission, which lists all federal election voters. If your birth relatives have enrolled to vote (not everyone does even 'tho it is compulsory in Australia) Electoral Roll - Frequently Asked Questions has info on how to access electoral rolls via each state, which seem to manage their own electoral rolls. I actually found info about the McBride Maternity Hospital http://salinkup.com.au/media/pdf/7_salvos.pdf via Google. Good news for you is that you have a lot of useful info that will make your search easier than if you didn't have that info. Good luck!
