I had never heard of that, but did google it. It is so interesting to see how genetic disorders can cause such a variety of characteristics.
I would imagine with such a rare syndrome it is hard to find support. Even if know of us are familiar with Williams Syndrome, we are very supportive here

My bestest friend of 30 or more years, has a daughter, 27, with Williams Syndrome. She is one of my favorite people in the world! She is one of the sweetest, most giving people I have ever met. She works, part time, at a fast food place, lives with her mom, and saves her money to go on missionary trips. She has helped rebuild after Katrina in NO, and after a major landslide in Nicaragua. She sings in her church choir, and volunteers in the nursery. She attends a different church from her mother, and has her own social circle. She lives a full life, and is a vital, contributing member of society. Knowing her forced me to rethink my opinions of the value of people - In the past, I might have put intelligence very high on my list of important attributes of a "good" person. But knowing this amazing young woman has taught me that compassion, selflessness, and commitment can mean even more. As Dr. Laura said, "The world has plenty of smart people; what we need is more good people."
She is also innocent, trusting and vulnerable, and will always need some help with the intricacies of daily life. Luckily, she has an older sister fully committed to taking over when Mom can no longer care for her.
I have no idea what proportions of my friend's personality are due to William's Syndrome, what part to her own nature, and what part to her fantastic upbringing (did I mention her Mom is my best friend?). I do know I would be over-the-top-proud to have her as a daughter.
