Permission Given or Not Ok?

I may be wrong, but I believe I read that posts like this needed to have prior permission. If so, is this one ok?

Ya, it's okay.:) As long as stuff like this isn't spammed, I'm okay with it. I equate it to the surveys college students post and members can choose to participate if they like.
