We are very interested in adopting a sibling group of up to 3 children to the age of 7yrs. We have 4 wonderful bio boys so would be very grateful to experience raising a daughter. Does anyone know if Colombia would allow a request that a sibling group contain at least 1 girl?

Yes! There is a spot on the form to do so. However, 1- It will slow down your process.2- If it is your first child -- they discourage it -- and this may make you wait even more. HOWEVER If you are requesting an older child or sibling group -- the above points do not apply. ICBF will be more than understanding that you might want to parent a girl. You will absolutely be able to request a group with one girl. That said, there is a sibling group of 3 girls ages 10, 9, 5 that came to the US this summer with KIDSAVE. They are still looking for parents. I got the flyer last week. You may want to call KIDSAVE and talk with them about the girls.
