You might want to update the forum rules, they aren't clear about that. :D

postings of available situations are not allowed here. at this point i have deleted the thread. in the future, please pm a moderator or an administrator if you are unsure if a posting will violate our rules here. violations of the terms of service may result in a temporary or permanent ban from the site. please let me know if you have any questions. thank you. :)

Brook, you can copy/paste this reply if you’d like. If we had to address every single possible 'issue' specifically, the rules would be so long, registration wouldn't ever get completed. This specifically falls under this area:No Solicitation or Marketing!: Advertising or solicitation of a product or service is not allowed anywhere on Adoption.com community of websites, whether you own or have a vested interest in the product/service or not. If you would like more information on how you can advertise with Adoption.com’s community of websites, please send an email to sales@adoption.comBasically, adoptions aren't free - by posting an available situation, you are advertising a 'service'. As for foster situations – we’ve been contacted by more states than not asking us to disallow this kind of thing on our site, because of the amount of undo work it creates for them. This is why we delete foster situations. I realize this seems nitpicky – but the bottom line is, this isn’t a matching site – we don’t allow expectant parents to solicit for hopeful couples, we don’t allow couples to solicit for expectant parents and we don’t allow agencies to solicit for anything. It would stand to reason that 3rd parties would also be restricted.Honestly, if you looked at some of the sites where this is allowed (like babycrowd.com, and some of the other online forums) it takes away from the usefulness of the site as a support resource and creates more of a adoption facilitation resource. Our goal is not to limit the resources of parents seeking children or parents seeking couples to adopt – our goal is to direct them to licensed and reputable professionals who can help them with their journey while simultaneously limiting the exposure of both to potential scams – which happens a lot, from both sites, when sites allow this type of posting.Agencies, attorneys and facilitators have an endless supply of marketing options available to them both here as well as on other sites – we encourage them to use them.
