Questions about interstate adoption

Hi everyone, I have some questions about interstate adoption. First, I am in Florida and something may come up in California (a connection for a baby with DS). Anyway, besides travel costs and say there are no medical/living expenses for the birthmother, any idea how much to expect to pay for adoption related expenses? I know there is the homestudy cost, but could I just do two attorneys - one in my state and the other in the birthmother's state? Any idea what those fees might be around? Anyone have experience with this? Also, any pro-life attorneys that you know of for babies to be born with Down Syndrome? Thanks in advance!
