...that we seem to be dealing with a sudden influx of very uneducated/antiquated views of things related to adoption, such as access to records/information, medical histories, openness, contact, sharing of information, not hiding the adoption, contact with siblings and the like...
...all things strongly tied to the belief system held by a huge portion of the surrogacy/embryo donation/non-genetic parent groups?
I find this all very strange.
Of course, coupled with WVMom's comment that she got 'another pm' regarding the 'open adoption zealots' on the forums - when statistics (I did not, nor can I Look at her PM box) of her PM's show she's had one PM sent to her since joining...
...I wonder where the other one is? In her tiny little head?
I am just having a hard time with this sudden influx of people who aren't looking for advice, but instead, for validation of their very odd thoughts on matters that are very important (and polarizing) to the adoption community.
Makes me wonder if they are just trying to make us make an arse out of ourselves - for some reason.
Well I got an email from her at 3 a.m. asking to be deleted from the site. She said...
"How can I delete my profile and thread completely? Some of the advice I got was helpful. Most of the people were mean and uninformed and I felt attacked. I got some comfort through private messages, but this forum was not what I would thought it would be.
I would like to remove myself from this website completely. How can that be done?"
My feeling is she is a coincidence with the other events. The other people joining the site did so solely to create havoc specifically with Stephanie's situation.
The dead horse lady I'm still not convinced that she isn't a formerly banned member.
However, I do agree with you...we have had a sudden influx of these types of people and I have wondered if it's related to anyone specific or a group specific etc.

i agree it is all very weird. this past week felt like an attack. i hope it was all coincidental.
I don't know WHAT it is, but I don't like it! :hissy:
I definitely have noticed it though, so you're not alone there....
I tend to think that the Brooks1stMom group is a separate issue and just a coincidence that they showed up the same week as the other two. Now SuzySSunshine and WVMomof2, I am not so sure. I am inclined to think SuzySSunshine is/was a troll, and WVMomof2 is just obnoxious, but . . . .
Is it possible that they PM'd each other on the other site and set it all up? I, too find it wierd. I am so glad this weekend is over and not just because I got a cracked nose.

I believe the Brooke1stMom group was discussing her/this site on the other forum and coming over here to attack her.
What happened to your nose?!
At the same time that I bent down to kiss Q he lifted his head to turn it and we collided. My nose ended up cracked. He has head-butted me in the past, but this was totally an accident. It really scared him though when I yelled. He is 2 with a very hard head. lol

David had a couple teeth knocked loose by the head of one of his toddler boys!
You may have noticed that I suggested that if people are being attacked in pms, it's possible to forward them to moderators so we can deal! (So there- you people writing in pms so the mods can't mod!)
May this week be quieter!
There does seem to be a recent rash of very opinionated people who feel the need to beat those who don't agree into submission.
Sorry about your nose!
Thanks all. My nose is healing nicely. Strangely enough I don't bruise much above the waist. My legs yes, the rest of me no, so no sympathy bruising on the nose. I once broke my sternum and 6 ribs in a car accident and nary a bruise to be found.
