To those who are Pagan and have adopted, how was your experience?
We are FINALLY starting the process (we are military and moved from Germany to OK so) and I am getting more nervous than ever! Did being Pagan ever come up in your experience? Were people supportive for the most part?
I would just really like to hear some adoption stories. :)
Hi, if you are from texas and adopted too,and have a birth brother named sam. I have been looking for you!

Hi! :)
I'm a 29 year old Wiccan woman. My partner is also Wiccan. Because of fertility issues, if we do decide to have a family, we'd like to build it through adoption. We're several years out from this, but I don't know where to begin! This is my first dip into an adoption forum. Any resources or website that might be helpful to us would be most appreciated.
Blessed be,
Courtney
ERICFATHER
what was your birth name or mothers name? may be we are related does Jannie or Eric ring a bell?
EricFather,
was this addressed to someone in particular?
It looks like youre seeking out birth relatives. If thats the case, i wouldn't want the message to be lost in scarsely read thread.
Crick can help you move this to a new thread so it gets proper attention. Just pm her if youre having problems navigating this system
I feel your pain. My wife and I are also in the Army in Germany. Intersted in adopting and on top of that a Pagan born child or similar. Hope things have worked out for you.

What is with all the Pagans in the military??? :) Our Pagan homeschooling group has a number of people in the military too! I'm assuming you have a Pagans in the Military group too. That was neither here nor there but it did strike me...
In any event, we live in a very anti-religious country, so there were no real issues with our religion. I have heard that the authorities don't particularly like religious people who apply for adoption. We certainly didn't put our religion down on the forms. :) Otherwise, no issues.

I can't site any actual evidence. My personal opinion is that Pagans have always had their fair share of Warriors. So many Pagans accept the Path of the Warrior. I am glad your adoption process has been fairly easy. What country are you from.
I suppose you're right historically. It is only that my offline experience has been to run into mainly peacenik modern Pagans. It just goes to show that one should not generalize. :)
I am originally from Oregon but we live in the Czech Republic.
