Hi,I think if you look at the US state department international adoption alerts, there are trafficking concerns with adoptions in Nepal - some children that are being stolen from their parents end up being offered to prospective adopters (only to later on not have the proper paperwork, so the adoption falls through), so the state department recommends against initiating an adoption there at present, until the adoption system gets reformed.

I hope your research is going well. Just want to say that I've heard of people switching out of Nepal b/c some agencies are closing the program in anticipation of the US closing it. Not sure if this will effect you - you might want to check out the Creating A Family website - there's some great info there.
