Families living in the tri-state region of NY/PA/NJ with children adopted from Latin America (Guatemala, Colombia, Brazil, Mexico, Peru, Equador and other countries in Latin America) are invited to join Families & Friends / Familias y Amigos!
The main focus of the group is to provide opportunities for the children to form friendships with other adoptees similar to themselves. The group is focused on family gatherings with child-friendly activities, targeted at kids that are preschool to intermediate school age.
The group also offers parents the opportunity to discuss adoption-related issues and parenting issues with other parents such as adoption and school assignments, creating life books, cultural activities, and travel to Latin America.
