Is it even possible?

So my best friend. She is 16 and currently living with her Father. Her dad is moving away forcing her to go and live with her "Psycho" mother. Her mother has Emotionally and Physically abused her and i would rather my best friend be anywhere but with her mom. is it possible for my parents to adopt her? They would in a heart beat but I dont know what to do, or how to even start.

It's not possible unless her parents allow your parents to be her legal guardian or they give up their rights to her. If your friend is abused, she can call the child abuse hotline. It's nice that you care about your friend so much. I hope she is safe no matter what happens.
