im not sure if i am posting this in the correct place, but something in my heart is saying to adopt a special needs child, more specifically, due to the circumstances in our lives personally, a child with dwarfism. we are currently working on a homestudy, its just a matter of time and waiting now, weve looked at lpas website, and done some searching, but other than chask im having a hard time locating an agency dealing with cases like this. any help with resources would be greatly appreciated. thanks.
I've looked in the past at the state foster photo listings, and done a search for 'adoptive photolists' and then narrowed from there. There are some special needs kids listed from international kids, too. If you are looking for a specific kind of special needs sometimes it's just a matter of waiting.
I know many people who want to adopt children with Down syndrome, for instance, but there isn't a long line of waiting children who have Down syndrome.
Keep searching diligently, but recognize that sometimes it takes a bit to find the match you are hoping for.

Many special needs have specific lists out there. One place to check is rainbowkids where you can check what special needs you are interested in and what countries (including the US) you are interested in.
