My Mom was adopted, I believe I have a name of the people that are/were the birth parents. My Grandmother chose not to tell my Mother she was adopted and she found out by accident, when she was 21 years old. Needless to say that messed up a lot for her, she didn't take it very well and she headed down a path of self destruction, by that I mean she drank and to the day she died, 4 years ago, she was haunted by the fact that the information was withheld from her and she had already had my brother when she found out. She felt rather cheated I suppose.
What I am wanting to know, where do I start to look for the people that would be my real Grandparents, I am sure they are dead, however, they may have other children, or those children may have children and I can find out about who I am as far as my real family. I am not a spring chicken and I feel I want to know my heritage before I leave this earth. Not that IM planning on it soon lol..
Any feedback would be appreciated
Thank you in advance

Adoption and how secrets kept can be cruel, so very cruel.
Have you searched adoption registries (like the one on this site) for matches to your moms date of birth/place?
Have you googled the names of the people who may be your grandparents? Have you checked out classmates or reunion.com? Do you know what town/area they lived in when your mom was born?
Have you request your mom non-id from the state she was adopted in? That info may tell you if an agency was used etc.
Hard to give advice without knowing any details.
Kind regards,
Dickons
