Hello,
I recently completed an involuntary termination/adoption of my husband's children. It was a mess, and we spent a lot on the amicus who basically just agreed with us that the adoption was in the kids' best interest.
Now, my husband is going to adopt my kids, and its a voluntary termination. We are pro se. We are asking to have the ad litem waived, and are scheduled to have a hearing in a month to convince the judge to waive it. Does anyone have advice on how to address this with the juddge or been through getting the ad litem waived?
We are in Dallas County.
Did you ever get your question answered? I am trying to get an involuntary adoption processed pro se. The clerks office said I need to file an order for an amicus or ad litem but all the forms I have found are requesting the lawyers info already which I do not have? Do you have the paperwork for that, that you could send me?
