What has been your experience as far as how long it takes to receive info from them? I sent the $100 and request to CC of Washington DC a couple of weeks ago. They said it could take up to 4 weeks. I take it they take every bit of that time?

I started my search about 2 years ago and I sent in my notorized copy of my id. It took about I wanna say a couple months before any info was given to me.. My worker said she had to check records death and marriage and when she finally did she let me know she had found her.. Then I had to wait another 2 months or so for her to make contact.. I wrote a letter and she mailed that first and then she called her.. It took a little less than a year, and all i have is false hope..Im waiting for my bmom to make contact with agency or me..My case worker told me my mother did not want to make contact at this time.. But a few months before I heard anything..she did e-mail me often though to keep me updated..but sometimes I would go weeks without hearing anything from her, even just to tell me she had no news.
