Hello. My DH and I are Catholic, but last year we began a spiritual journey that has lead us to seek Christ without the constrictions of a specific denomination. We would like to consider applying with Catholic Charities for a domstic adoption, but we aren't sure how to report our religion.
They ask - if Catholic, which parish, confirmed by priest, etc. They want to know if we're in "good standing", etc. Technically, we haven't switched officially to another denomination, but either way, they want to know where our "churc home" is. Well, we're in between church homes right now.
Do we just pretend we're still fully with our last attended parish, where we are still registered? Or do we give the name of the most recent church we've been attending? Or should we just go with an agency that doesn't care about this?
