A few years ago while helping an adoptee search, I spoke with a friend of the birthmother from the 40s. She said (bm name) gave up a couple of babies for adoption.
I thought this information might help out someone. The adoptee I was helping was born in 1945 at a maternity home in Missouri. The birthmother had traveled from the state where she was residing at the time.
If you are looking for a birthmother from the 40s (ruling out 1945 since that baby is known and 1949 since she had another baby then), I have quite a bit of info which I'm willing to share by e/m. :dance:
